Sradagan Training Weekend25th June 2008Fay McDiarmid, Youth Projects Manager says “We held a training weekend in Inverness for Sradagan leaders and committee members. Everyone enjoyed the event and we got some great ideas and opinions from our workshops. We congregated in the Craigmonie Hotel in Inverness for dinner on the Friday evening and this was a great networking opportunity as we had delegates from throughout Scotland. Saturday morning saw us starting with a training session lead by Rae MacEachern from Fèisean nan Gàidheal. As you can see from the photograph this was a lively and really enjoyable session from which we all learnt a lot. After this we had workshops where we discussed a variety of topics. We then returned together for a feedback session and to look at the way forward. This generated some great ideas and we hope to develop them soon – as they say watch this space! Here are some of the comments from our delegates” “Topics covered were very useful and the informality of the training- this encouraged swapping of ideas and experiences” “Thank you for this training and thank you- it’s nice to be recognised by CnaG for our voluntary work” “Really enjoyed the training and found it really useful. Great ideas generated. Good to meet other leaders and share ideas.” “Very informal so great fun- able to talk about anything rather than feeling we have to live with the way things are.”
